Remind me to to try a Grandma's Slice at Sacco's next time I go. They advertise that it's available... So, why not give it a try?
I did try the Macaroni and Cheese slice at the new Uncle Mario's Brick Oven Pizza. Quite nice, although I'm not a huge Mac and Cheese fan. I would add crunchy browned bread crumbs on the top for character and crunch, if they ever asked me what I thought...
Uncle Mario's Hell's Kitchen slice... With chicken chunks and their hot sauce and chunks of crumbled blue cheese in a groovy Buffalo Chicken flavored salute. It's terrific! I'll be back for that one. In fact, I'll prolly get the personal pie for $9 and make a meal of it... And will try to remember to photograph it before I woof it down... Not always easy to do when you're hungry! LOL. I won the lottery two weeks in a row!! One whole dollar winning each week!... (Not exactly what I had in mind!)...
Nice to see The New York Times printed a correction today that Mary Cleere Haran's cabaret debut was at Don't Tell Mama, and not The Ballroom as the obituary writer had originally stated. (Now the main obituary for Mary Cleere Haran online is corrected also).
Dr Oz calls them brain food. OK... So I just ate a slew of fresh blueberries on my oatmeal this morning... With walnuts, raisins, cinnamon, and a dribble of sugar-free syrup...
Having a followup blood test tomorrow to see if I got the cholesterol back into the safety range without the meds... I hate meds... I never trust meds.
I learned something yesterday... I read more carefully in the evening than I do in the morning... The morning means I rifle through the NYTimes to get it done. In the evening, a combination of tiredness and improved concentration, I read entire articles...
Setting the DVR for a Saturday Night Live backstage tour on NBC at 9pm tonight...
I have a friend who emailed this morning that he "just realized" his unemployment payments have run out and he's "in a panic". Funnily enough , he emailed me three weeks ago, that his unemployment was gonna run out in three weeks... So, now he sez he might (finally get around to) go to McDonald's to find a minimum wage job... Who knows?? He might actually give up drinking, too?... He is known to go to AA meetings to share his 30+ day sobriety count even though he was slipping the day before, and on the way to the meeting... In other words, his unemployment running out might/could be the best thing that ever happened to him...? ...If he let's it... Ya know? I hope so...
10:15 am and the morning is already flying by... Wow...
