Well now the folks over at Fantasy Flight Games are offering to let you replace your investigators with little miniatures like these. How much? 4 bucks per guy. People at GenCon were buying complete sets of all of the investigators. Arkham Horror has 48 investigators which means they sank $192 into little guys that don't add any new content to the game other than giving you something cool to look at. The base game is only $40 on Amazon. You could buy 4 friends a copy of the game and buy them dinner instead.I tell you, give people the opportunity to show how much they love something by buying it all over again and people will do it.
