Sunday Quicktakes from HK

Just back from a morning walk and errands... Now, just finished a list of some more things I need to do this morning... A typical weekend morning for me means a lot of mucho activity... Followed by a hearty (though not necessarily heart-healthy) lunch, then a nap and a mellower afternoon...

Thanks to CoffeeDog for the valentine! When are you and Sheila gonna get up here so I can take you to MoMA?

The pic at left shows there are, indeed, remaining snow piles along the Hell's Kitchen walkways and byways... And it also shows that some Zen Master with a sense of humor knows what to do with stickers on a door of the abandoned and decaying St Clare's Hospital... Nice job, Grasshopper...

I belong to a gay hiking group. They did a hike that woulda been perfect for me... Up the Hudson River coast yesterday from 59th to Harlem and beyond... But, alas, I forgot it was yesterday and besides: I had too many other things I needed/wanted/had to do on my Saturday off.

Weekends are like that... There just isn't enough time on the weekends to do everything... To squeeze in all the relaxing and recharging that needs to be done too...

Did four museum exhibitions and a film yesterday... That puts me well ahead on the New Year's Resolution regarding cultural things. LOL... Also took a slew of new mannequin and reflection pictures along Madison Avenue (mostly)... They are on my Flickr page... Here's my mannequin set on there.

Toy Fair starts today... I don't know if I'll even bother...

Got to the gym today and weighed myself. 194! That's heavy...

Need to see if Stiles Market (on west 52nd) still has those fabulous jumbo peanuts and now Lady Donothing has me craving fresh radishes... I need some fresh sweet potatoes too. And lately, they have had a regular supply of fresh blue berries. Good brain food.

Starting my annual list of activities and projects for the Mid Winter Break that happens the week after next... Some of those things, let's face it, are the same things that were unfinished from last summer vacation's list... Or even the one before that... Oy vey.

This recent upheaval in Egypt really IS a huge world event... I hope it all goes well for world peace and stability... No doubt Postal Lady and I will discover that the topic dominates the Sunday morning talks... I've been to Egypt. And frankly always wondered how long the poor would be able to take it... Pray for peace!!

Have a great Sunday, peeps...
